Another Great Week Has Come and Gone!

Wow!  The third week of school has now come and gone!  Time flies when you're having fun and we have tons of fun in fourth grade!  Remember to fill in your reading logs and turn those in each Monday.  Have a great weekend.
Fourth Grade Teachers

Winners of the Trivia Contest

The question from the first week of school:
How many years are in a millennium?
No winners on that one - the answer was 1,000 years.

The question from the second week of school:
Who was the most famous scientist to study gorillas?
We chose one winner from each class and decided to take the following answers:
Jane Goodall (Primatologist) or Dian Fossey (Zoologist).
The winners were:
Jordan Smothers - Jane Goodall
Wyatt Fuller - Dian Fossey
Avery Parrish - Dian Fossey

Several people turned in correct answers but did not include their name.  Make sure your name is on the paper with your answer.  Next week we will only choose one winner from the entire fourth grade.  You can put your answers in the secure box on the table outside Mrs. Wardell's room.  Listen to the Voki to hear the question.

Our Project Campaign will kick off next week, so be prepared for the EXCITEMENT!  Here we "GROW" again!!!

DON'T FORGET TO LOOK AT THE FOURTH GRADE CALENDAR FOR IMPORTANT TEST DATES FOR THE UPCOMING WEEK!!  ALSO, MAKE SURE TO CHECK OUT THE TABS AT THE TOP TO SEE WHAT WE ARE LEARNING IN CLASS AND TO GET MORE PRACTICE ON THOSE CONCEPTS!

Next week will be our last week on Ivan.  We will start a new novel after our Labor Day holiday.
