Goes out to Mr. Brooks for stopping by to read a few chapters of his new book.
We can't wait to hear more about EJ Lee.
Conferences are underway and going great!
Don't forget to sign up for your child's fall conference using the online form below the field trip information.
If you do not sign up for Fall conferences, your child's conference sheet will go home the week we return from Thanksgiving break for you to review and sign. Thank you and PLEASE schedule your conference if you want that face to face time with the teachers.
The first field trip is this Friday, Nov. 2.
Students should bring money for lunch (or a sack lunch) and any souvenirs they would like to purchase. They can bring a lightweight cinch sack type backpack or purse, but they MUST keep up with it during the field trip. They can wear jeans. They should wear tennis shoes and a red GWA uniform shirt. Outerwear should be lightweight.
Chaperones will not keep up with student items.
Each child and chaperone ticket for this trip includes the following:

Make sure you are checking the 4th-grade calendar each day.
It is in a link to the right of this page.
The calendar is updated as needed which means it can change on a day to day basis. Put your child in charge of checking each afternoon before starting homework.
This is a good way to start teaching them the habit of taking student responsibility.
Please take a minute to review the dress code requirements in the link to the right of this page.
One of the main things we have noticed . . .
girls wearing printed leggings.
They can wear solid school color leggings
under their skirts or dresses,
but they must be SOLID colors (red, black, white, gray).
Also, sweatshirts, hoodies, etc... Must be GWA approved.
Please make yourself familiar with the dress code and the procedures if dress code is not followed.
Thank you for helping us with this.
